Happy New Year and welcome to another edition of Perspectives! The start of 2014 brings many new beginnings for SIG 15, my term as SIG 15 Coordinator is just one. We also welcome three new coordinating committee members. Mary Beth Mason-Baughman joins us as associate coordinator, Nancy Brandenburger as professional development manager, and Betsi Slider-Young as our newly appointed Coordinating Committee member for 2014. In addition, we welcome a new Perspectives editorial team. Renee Kinder will assume the role of editor and Melissa Fryer as associate editor for our next edition. With new beginnings also come fond farewells to a number of long-standing volunteers. I extend my admiration and warmest gratitude to Mary Casper, Pam Smith, Anna Feezor, and Paula Zappala for sharing their time and talents with SIG 15 for numerous years.
