Change. A simple word that packs a punch. Synonyms include convert, modify, transform, and alter.
If you haven't already discovered this, ASHA's Special Interest program has changed. The Divisions are now Special Interest Groups (SIGs). 2011 is a transition year, during which SIGs are aligning leadership in Coordinating Committees, engaging in different processes for budgeting and event planning, and finding new ways to provide benefits to our affiliates.
One change I'm very excited to tell you about is an expanded publication schedule for Perspectives. Beginning in 2012, we will publish three issues annually in January, May, and September. Our Editor (Pam Smith), Associate Editor (Anna Feezor), CE Content Manager (Anne Gilbertson), and Coordinating Committee are enthusiastic about the opportunity to share more current evidence, clinicians' insights, and solutions to challenges with service delivery in the geriatric population.
