I want to take this opportunity to welcome back those of you who have renewed your membership and to extend a special welcome to new affiliates. Now, I would like to bring you up to date on Division activities and plans for 2007.
March 27, Division 15 sponsored a live Web Event entitled, “Group Power! The Therapeutic Potential of Group Treatment with Older Adults.” If you were not able to participate, you can always access the archived version at www.asha.org/Forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID =8732&MessageID=253598. You can look forward to more such events on relevant topics in the future.
Also, for the first time, Division 15 co-sponsored ASHA’s Health Care Conference, held March 31-April 1. More than 500 people participated. We plan to continue co-sponsoring this event in the future, as well as provide input and ideas for the educational forums. We hope that our affiliates will be able to take advantage of this educatonal opportunity.
